Our core areas of support include...

Program Managment & Systems Engineering

Aerolight excels in providing expert Program Management and Systems Engineering support to our customers, building off our past experience in both commercial and government projects. Leveraging our diverse background, we offer our clients the insight needed to manage complexity to develop achievable capability. Applying tailored programmatic structures and lessons learned to program management and systems engineering, Aerolight understands that successful planning start early. Key areas include: trade studies, scheduling, PMP development, agile management, technical assessment & analysis, design cycles, risk management & evaluation, milestone reviews, requirements development & review, subcontractor management, acquisition, and additional areas for complete end-to end success.

Systems Engineering & Integration

Aerolight's approach to Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) support focuses on a comprehensive set of solutions spanning multiple areas of engineering analysis, design, and delivery, arming our customers with the critical knowledge needed to make strategic decisions. We offer our customers expertise in developing and understanding key mission facets, via a complete life cycle perspective of conceptual development through deployment, operations, and system retirement.

Design & Development

With a breadth of experience in advancing R&D to system design and production, Aerolight is uniquely suited to guide our customers' concepts and system requirements to a verifiable reality. By leveraging our experience and expertise in conceptual design to finished product, we understand the aerospace design cycle and the level of rigor expected in flight systems. Aerolight can support our clients in requirements development to initial design, trade study analysis, designing for manufacturability, subcontractor/parts selection & management, through verification and validation testing. Aerolight works with our clients to develop innovative solutions, within a framework of achievable cost, schedule, and performance.

Quality & Mission Assurance

Attention and planning for Quality Control and Mission Assurance is a key component of success for any project. Aerolight strives to provide confidence to our clients in achieving mission success by applying our experience and expertise in detailed engineering SE practices, tailored to individual program needs. Not every system should be gold-plated, and understanding the when and how to apply rigor is key to "right sizing" of the process, documentation, and controls for aerospace systems; particularly for CubeSats and related SmallSat platforms.

Mission Development

Understanding stakeholder and operational requirements, technical performance measures, and design limitations is critical to crafting Mission Development from concept to execution. Aerolight‘s focus is on developing a succinct SE plan to both define and refine mission architecture concepts into an analytically supported Concept of Operations (ConOps), including a full life cycle understanding of the customer's system. Mission planning and development requires a deep understanding of operational requirements and the interplay between providing an explicit and quantifiable basis for selecting an acceptable functional system. Working shoulder-to-shoulder, Aerolight offers our clients expertise in developing analytic tools, conducting trade space and analysis of alternatives, and developing performance parameters supporting a variety of aerospace initiatives.
